It’s hard to put into words how incredible Young Love and the Thrills is.

We researched dozens of bands for our wedding in Newport, but after reading the reviews and watching some videos (and speaking with Andy who is super helpful and communicative!), we had no doubt that they would be a great choice. However, we never could have anticipated how great of a show they would put on. They truly were the centerpiece of the night and the life of the party. We and our guests couldn’t leave the dance floor all night, and everyone we’ve talked to since has been emphatic that Young Love is the best wedding band they’ve ever seen. A few members also played for both the ceremony and cocktail hour — they were perfect every step of the way. We can’t wait to find an opportunity to go watch them play in Boston, and hope to find another party to hire them for in the future! Seriously could not recommend them more, you will be absolutely blown away. Thanks to the band for helping make our night one we (and all our guests) will remember forever!

No slow songs allowed. Young Love and the Thrills delivered, they killed it.

The #1 goal our daughter had for her wedding was an amazing band that would have everyone on the dance floor for the entire reception. No slow songs allowed. Young Love and the Thrills delivered, they killed it. They were soooo good. Very professional, well dressed, completely engaged they found the perfect balance to create a vibe of a high end wedding where everyone felt the love and felt free to celebrate unencumbered. Andrew truly went the extra mile. He was responsive in all planning meetings and communications prior to the event and even though he wasn’t playing for the event and we were not expecting him to be present he made the trip from Boston all the way to Phippsburg Maine an hour north of Portland in order to personally ensure the challenging logistics of this event were handled without a hitch and he delivered. Will def be coming to Capos to see this band and re-live the memories!

YLATT knows how to keep the party dancing! A MUST hire!

Just WOW! Young Love & The Thrills is more incredible than any of your expectations or imagination. This band is wildly talented and really knows how to get the party started! We asked for upbeat music that would keep our guests dancing all night, and man did they deliver. They were absolutely fantastic to work with from start to finish. Working through the music for the prelude, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was an absolute breeze. Our dance floor was packed from the first song to the last – even during the break! Young Love & The Thrills was also incredibly thoughtful – changing the lyrics of “Jessie’s Girl” to “Kevin’s Girl”. It was an awesome surprise for us and our guests to dance and sing to! We can’t recommend this band enough. You must hire YLATT! It’s the best decision you’ll make for your wedding!

YLATT are simply incredible!!!

Young Love and the Thrills, were absolutely, positively, simply incredible! Words simply don’t capture how amazing they were at our October 2021 wedding in Newport, RI. From the very beginning when our wedding planner recommended them, Andy from YLATT was incredibly friendly, fun to work with and super flexible and open to our questions and thoughts. He was super communicative and responsive every step of the way throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, the simply blew all of us away. The entire band was so insanely talented, were so much fun interacting with our guests and especially my little five year old niece! They tailored the playlist to our preferences — every single song was perfect! It was a perfect mix of everything for everyone. I truly cannot recommend them enough. I didn’t want the evening to end and that’s in extremely large part to YLATT. We are all still talking about how amazing they were. I want to throw a big party just to be able to experience the magic they created on our special day again! Thank you to Andy and the entire band for making our special day so incredibly memorable. Loved YLATT’s chill vibe!

We were so happy with YLATT as our wedding band. Having a memorable wedding band was a top priority for us, and we searched long and hard for the best. YLATT came recommended to us from friends, and we choose them based on their style/set list which is a bit more differentiated than some of the other bands in the Boston area. Furthermore, YLATT has competitive rates and was very easy to work with. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID but Andy was very easy to work with throughout the process. He stayed in constant communication throughout the planning phases and was always quick to respond to our questions. The night of our wedding, YLATT had the all of our guest dancing the entire time and we received countless feedback from our guests that YLATT was the best wedding band they have seen. YLATT also learned a few songs for us and absolutely nailed it.

YLATT was the core of the party!

Every single one of our guests was amazed at the rich full sound and little spins they did on songs, the vocal range of the singers, and the talent and stamina of all of the band members. Half a year later, guests get in touch with us wanting to know more details about the band and rave about how amazing they were. The band manager was very easy to work with, and very personable. Critically for us, we had a same-sex wedding between two men and we wanted to make sure that we worked with vendors that treated our wedding exactly the same as all others. We felt absolute support and celebration from all of the band members, who it was lovely to see are also very diverse and eclectic in their makeup. The band was an attraction, but it really felt like they were there to support us as the couple; and to help make sure everyone was having a blast. If I ever get the chance, I’ll be “thrilled” to book them again!

Seriously the MOST fun and amazing band EVER!

If it is any indication of how great, let’s just say I lost my voice from scream singing all night from when we first saw them play in Southie! On our wedding day, danced and sang even harder all night long and people are still talking about how awesome they were! Working with Andy was absolutely seamless and he made sure everything was exactly how we wanted and even more! We could not have had our perfect day without Young Love and The Thrills! They came highly recommended from our trusted wedding planner, and she could not have been more right! BEST. BAND. EVER!!!!

The set flowed seamlessly, and they even learned two new songs for us…

True professionals that put on an amazing show. We had the band perform at our wedding including, setting up ceremony mic, jazz quartet for cocktail hour, and 8-piece band for the reception. They did a fantastic job in all respects, played to the crowd and handled a severe rain storm no problem. The set flowed seamlessly, and they even learned two new songs for us and executed them perfectly. Many of our guests also remarked how awesome the band was. Highly recommend!

I remembered them being the best wedding band I had seen…

My sister & her husband had YLATT perform at their wedding 9 years ago. I remembered them being the best wedding band I had seen, so when I got engaged they may have been my first email, even before securing a venue! I am so lucky they were free and we booked them ASAP. My husband and I went to see them perform at Capo basement before signing the contact, so he felt confident in their vibe too. He loved it and was so excited for the wedding. Let me tell you– THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I had tens of guests asking me who our band was and remarking that we had the best wedding band they had ever heard. You are assured to have an electric dance floor if you go with YLATT!!

The BEST wedding band – DON’T MISS OUT!

I spent weeks scouring wedding band websites in search of something unique and could not be more pleased that we went with Young Love! Like many couples, the band was a focal point of our planning process and Young Love did not disappoint. We had a trio play during our cocktail hour to set the tone for the evening. They are extremely talented and provide an energy and capability that we had not often experienced amidst the countless weddings we’ve attended over the years listening to a never-ending stream of the same songs. Andy was very easy to work with throughout the process and we cannot overstate how amazing their performance was, particularly with our special request songs (Zombie by the Cranberries absolutely set the tone). The dance floor was packed all night and our friends and family were buzzing for days. Absolutely recommend!!!
